these days . .

it's crunch time . our first shoot is this saturday . yesterday the team ; juston , rodney , kentrell , taishma , and i ; all met at juston's house to make a promotional video and choreograph for our fashion show in july . unfortunately , rodney was eons late as usual and kentrell had to leave early . we ended up beginning on the video and putting a few outfits together , but more than anything it was just another bonding time for us .

we are normal sophmores , and love to goof around . being the first time i met taishma , we had some good laughs and got to know each other while rodney and juston acted a fool with the video camera . as all teenagers do , we laughed at inside jokes [ - can you get it up ? ) , danced , picked on each other , and all that other stupid stuff you know you do too .

tomorrow we plan to meet up at crabtree and do some last minute shopping for the shoot .

also , a magazine is interested in doing an article and putting us on their cover ! sometime either this week or next we have to meet with the guy in charge and get more information on that .

It's been a while . .

Alright , so I'm sorry that it's been a while but a lot have things have been coming up between everybody's personal lives and all of the Fly By Nature business. I was sick for over a week and was unable to talk, go to work, go to school, or frankly do anything but sleep. Juston has been busy working on his upcoming performance with Bang No More, and Kentrell's been working on his newly found photography company.

As for Fly By Nature, we had a meeting this past Sunday about our upcoming runway show. A close friend of ours Robert Green, a very talented and accomplished entrepreneur, has offered to help us choreograph the three segments that we were graciously given. Trust me, it's going to be hot.

At the moment, Juston and I are in the library working on lists of all our models and their specific outfits, segments, and dates that they can be with us. What are we listening to? Taking Flight, Juston's mix-tape that I already know all they lyrics to. (: I've been here through the writing and recording process, and I can honestly say that this tape is going to be good. Keep on the look out for it!

Oικογένεια

In case you all haven't noticed yet, everyone in Fly By Nature are really close friends. No matter where we're from (I'm Greek and the Greek word for family is οικογένεια - - hence the title of the entry) or how long we've known each other or who we've been with or what we look like, we all love each other and support each other.

Juston Alford is always there for me, no matter what I need. When I'm weak, this boy is my rock. Ever since I met him, I've loved him to pieces. He takes such good care of me and I don't know what I would do without him. Through my recent break up, family drama, and other stressful situations; Juston has always known exactly what to say to cheer me up. He'll always be my baby boy. <3

Kentrell Zeigler is the best guy in the whole world. He's always there to help a friend in need. Whether you need markers, mangoes, or someone to be a ninja with; the boy is always there right when you need him. No matter what, he always sees the silver lining in a situation. (something that I really struggle with) And I can't forget, if I ever need a badminton partner, Kentrell is always there. <3

Success

Okay, so we aren't successful yet, but we're about to be. We finally set the date for our photo shoot at Shelly Lake and we have our first official runway show set for June. Soon, Kentrell and I will be busy as hellllll teaching all of our models how to walk and not look sick while on the runway. The last thing I want is people representing me looking like a dead beaver in front of all kinds of modeling recruiters.

Juston and I are almost done with our inspired designs for the shoot and ready to begin working on our segments for the runway. (and maybe some of our own designs will be included . . .?)

Also, our facebook group is really an attitude boost for us. Over 200 likes in one day? That just goes to show how fast word spreads when something hott is going down.

Thoughts For The Day

So yesterday was an "eventful" day. FBN executives, Juston Alford and I, worked on all things digital. We created a Twitter account and Facebook page for Fly By Nature. ( --the links will be at the end of the entry ] Make sure you follow us closely and feel free to ask any questions you may have. Kentrell took some really nice pictures of Juston Alford, Rodney Jarret, and Rodney Woodard. Beginning yesterday, Kentrell began to train me to use his camera. And I've gotta say, my pictures of Zach Hinton we're looking right!

As for today, we're just planning on going through our daily routines of making sure that we're spreading the word about Fly By Nature, getting all of our designs together, and taking a few hot pictures just for fun.

Samantha "MJ" Meyer : The only girl that's running Fly By Nature? There's a reason for that. Sam is incredibly dedicated, hard working, and knows how to keep everyone in a good mood. When she's not working on FBN, Sam plays volleyball and is really involved in theater. As an outgoing person, she doesn't care what you think about her dress game. Like it or not, she's still hot!

Hot and Freshh ;

It all started with a simple idea. Corny, i know. But I remember Juston telling me about it in second-block theater class months ago. "Sam, I think it would be cool to start a fashion line." And that was it. That was all i heard about it for a while. And then suddenly, it surfaced again. The idea grew into a name. Fly By Nature. And then the name grew into a team. We started scribbling down ideas for outfits on random sheets of paper whenever we had time. We started taking pictures outdoors during our lunch hour. Adding to and improving our small idea created something big. Keep watch for Fly By Nature, because we're here to stay.
